I am originally from China and received my Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2003 under the direction of Dr. John A. Williams. I then carried out postdoctoral research learning how to use proteomic techniques and applied them to the pancreas. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in Department of Physiology at Wayne State University. My research interest is protein homeostasis and membrane trafficking in the secretory pathway particularly the biogenesis of pancreatic zymogen granules. My hobby is playing tennis.
