I am a Professor at the University of Michigan in the Dept of Molecular and Integrative Physiology. I have studied the function of the exocrine pancreas with some forrays into pancreatic disease models for nearly forty years. I enjoy attending the annual meeting of the American Pancreatic Association every year to catch up with my friends. At Michigan I also teach GI physiology to medical students and mentor PhD students. Currently I also direct a Predoctoral Training Grant in Systems and Integrative Biology and serve as Acting Director of the Center for Integrative Genomics, a mouse phenotyping facility. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, kyaking, reading, and visiting with my grandchildren.
