I am a pediatric gastroenterologist and basic scientist.  I have a clinical interest in pancreatic disorders of childhood, particularly acute and chronic pancreatitis.  My research has long centered on the biochemistry and phsyiology of pancreatic lipases and colipase.  I use structure-function studies to define the molecular details of lipolysis.  I have developed mouse models to study the physiology and developmental changes of pancreatic lipases and colipase.
